Walking with Clarks

Clarks has been designing comfortable footwear since 1825. Widely known for their iconic Desert Boot introduced in 1950 by Nathan Clark has continue to be the footwear of choice over the decades. What a lot of people might not have known (including myself) is that Clarks has found the perfect balance between comfort and style. Just because something is comfortable doesn't mean that it can't be fashion forward and vic versa.

The team at Clarks USA has reached out to me to be apart of their Clarks Trendsetter Blogger program and I feel absolutely honoured. To be honest, while shopping through their site I was surprised to find a variety of styles that were available for all types of shoeaholics. Did you know that Clarks even has a Wedding Collection? I feel that Clarks is doing a great job keeping up with the fashion industry while staying true to their reputation of comfortable footwear.

The Clarks heels I received are actually on my list of top 5 heels to wear. They are super comfortable (not surprising) and trendy. I've actually gotten a lot of compliment when I wore them and every person was surprised when I told them that they were from Clarks. I have a whole new appreciation for Clarks and I can't wait to see what is next from the designers at Clarks USA.

Review: Tangle Teezer

Summer finally here and I know a lot of us have big plans such as pool parties, beaches, barbecues, etc. A lot of the times, we spend having fun that we sometimes forget to protect ourselves. One thing i always tend to forget about is my hair. I have really fine thin hair and t can get really tangled while riding with the windows down. Luckily for me, I discovered The Original Tangle Teezer.

The Tangle Teezer is a professional detangling hairbrush made in Great Britain. On the site it states that the brush "glides through wet, vulnerable and colour treated hair with no pulling, tugging or yanking" however on the actual box it says that it can be used on both wet and dry hair. I've tried both and both works perfectly well for me. I still feel that it is a wet hair type of brush because like most people, I like to untangle my hair before it dries up into a tangled mess.

The brush is small, lightweight and the shape reminds me of a wireless mouse. The Original retails for approximately $21 Canadian online and the prices vary depending on the other styles.

I really wish I received the Tangle Teezer before to my Punta Cana trip because it would have been a dream. A full day in the sun and swimming in the ocean water does nothing positive for colour treated hair.

Review: Jealous Body Scrub Almond + Coffee

Awhile back I did a review on a company called Jealous Body Scrub who offers a 100% all natural coffee based body scrub. I absolutely loved this coffee scrub and you can read the initial review here The team at Jealous Body Scrub have reached out to me again to announce that they have expanded their collection and will be launching 4 new flavours of coffee scrubs. Their new selection includes: Almond + Coffee (The one I will be reviewing below), Almond + macadamia, Grapeseed + Macadamia, and Cocoa + Almond.

All their scrubs at handmade with 100% natural ingredients. The Almond + Coffee one includes premium Robusta coffee grounds, sweet almond oil, raw brown sugar, sea salt, vitamin A, E and D. The sweet almond oil helps to relieve irritated dry skin and improve complexion. There are no added fragrances or chemicals and it smells exactly like how i expect it to - Coffee. I found the Original Coconut + Coffee Jealous Scrub smelt stronger of coconut compared to the almond which is totally fine for me because I'm not a huge coconut fan. It retails at $18.95 (CAD) with free shipping worldwide. I have learnt to get really messy with Jealous and I LOVE the results.

Like the original scrub, the instruction says to apply 2-3 scoops on wet/damp skin and scrub in circular motions. The coffee grinds are gentle enough to exfoliate both face and body. Depending time, I leave the scrub on for about 5-10 minutes and I notice immediate results. My skin feels smoother and softer and not to mention the lovely coffee aroma that sticks around. The 200g package is good to last up to six months after opening, however my package is long gone before then. The Almond + Coffee has become my new favourite coffee scrub and I can't wait till we get messy again ;)

If you haven't given Jealous a try you are definitely missing out. Jealous Body Scrub is currently sold online only
