Teami Blends 30 Day Detox Review

Whether it be in food, drinks or beauty products teas have always proven to have great benefits toward our bodies. As much as I am a coffee drinker, I like to switch to having a tea in the afternoon as a better alternative. Tea still give me the caffeine I need to get me through the rest of the day without taking a toll on my body. Thanks to the team at Teami I received the 30 day detox pack to review.

The 30 day detox pack comes with 2 teas - Teami Skinny and Teami Colon and a mini 30 day calendar to follow. They also sent me a cute little strainer for the skinny tea leaves. The directions are simple - Drink the Teami Skinny tea every morning preferably before breakfast and the Teami Colon tea every other night right before bed. The Teami Skinny is meant to wake up the body and start boosting your metabolism right away while the Teami Colon is there to cleanse heavy toxins in your body.

I have a really hectic schedule juggling a full time 9-5 job during the week, growing my wedding planning business (which i am currently taking clients for 2016) and blogging every second in between so you can imagine how much energy consumption is required for all 3 of these things. I've been on the cleanse for about a week now and I do feel more energized. I find because of this cleanse I am more likely to make healthier choices and I also love that they have recipes available on their site.

This specific 30 day detox pack retails for $49.99 here So far, the cleanse is pretty good; the teas have become apart of my daily routine and they do exactly what they claim to do. I will write an updated post after the 30 days of my full experience so remember to check back :)

Olive You

My obsession with coats lately has only been growing with the transition into cooler days. Talking specifically about duster and cocoon coats, I just can't get over how comfortable and effortlessly chic they are. I picked up yet another one from Topshop last weekend that i thought could add to my fall stables. You can see below I wore it with my sweater dress to keep my neck warm on a windy day. That's it for now guys, just trying to enjoy the rest of the year. Can you believe we are 5 weeks away from Christmas and then on to 2016! Enjoy your weekend.

WMCFW: Day 5 Autumn tones

And just like that World Mastercard Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 season was over. For the final day of Fashion Week, I broke out of my black and white palette and added burnt orange to the mix. This warm orangey colour always makes me think of fall and the changing leaves, thus the end of summer. As always, Canadian designers are able to push their limits of creativity as seen in their S/S 16 collections. Hope you guys all have a great week ^_^

WMCFW: Day 2 Karma

Day 2 was probably my favourite outfit from fashion week this season. The pairing of leather and statement accessories made this all black ensemble more interesting. As I mentioned in my previous post, I've been going through a black and white phase and just loving it. Hope you all had a great Monday, talk soon :)

WMCFW: Day 1 Pinstripe and Fur

The past 2 weeks have been non-stop for me starting with assisting at an out of town wedding, then to Mexico for vacation and then straight back into the grind of things with World Mastercard Fashion Week. I know, i know how busy could i have been on vacation but it was the trying-to-catch-up-because-I've-been-away-for-a-week busy. At times, i wish i took vacation from my vacation to get back on track. Now that fashion week is over and I've had some time to finally settle down I wanted to share with you guys my outfits from last week. Day 1 consisted of my lately obsessed zara top which i paired with a fur vest and my fav pleather leggings. You'll notice that this season i decided to go with a black/white palette as i post more outfits. That's it for now, hope you guys have a great rest of the week

Let's begin: Spring/Summer 2016 WMCFW

And so it begins, the semi-annual World MasterCard Fashion Week (WMCFW) kicked off yesterday at the David Pecaut Square. Running from Monday October 19th to Friday October 23th local Toronto designers showcase their Spring/Summer 2016 collections. The iconic giant white tent fills up with hunders of unique individuals all with one common interest - Fashion. This season includes some new faces such as Preloved, Bustle, Rachel Sin and Hong Kiyoung alongside the veterans such as Mackage, Pink Tartan, and Narces. The full calendar is available here. Although it will be a stressful week with countless coffee runs, I am excited to see what these designers have in store for us. Below are some snapshots from Day 1 and follow me via instagram for live updates.

Revamp - Clarks Giveaway

Living in Canada I have always had a love hate relationship with the 4 seasons. They come and go so quickly without me being able to enjoy each one fully...well more specifically summer is not long enough. The good thing however, about entering a new season is being able to restock your closet. Chunky knits, blanket scarves, wool hats and fall boots are all on my radar this fall. To help you revamp your closet, ClarksUSA and I have collaborated to bring you a giveaway! (You can read the original post here) One lucky follower will get a change to win a pair of Clarks shoes of their choice. It is really simple to enter, all you have to do is follow these 3 easy steps

         1. Follow @jeannieyeoh & @clarksusa via instagram
         2. Like the original photo
         3. Tag 2 friends who love shoes as much as you do

The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Oct 24th. Good Luck and start sharing!

Wispie White

Mother nature seems to be hanging on to summer as we are fully into the fall season but the temperature is still in the mid 20’s. Don’t get me wrong though, mid 20’s might be chilly for places but for us Canadians, mid 20s in September is amazing. So in my previous post, I shared my experience at the Marciano Grand Re-Opening Event showcasing their Fall 2015 Collection. This all white cape dress was one of my favourite pieces from the collection. It is one of those beautiful pieces that look effortlessly chic on its own and therefore I kept the accessories minimal.  Oh and you know that “no white after Labour day” rule? Not only is white highly accepted in the industry, it is a growing trend. After all if you follow the rules you’ll miss all the fun.

Review: LANEIGE Water Bank Gel Cream

Hi Everyone! Today I will be sharing a review which I am sure is already blowing up all over the internet. The popular Korean skincare brand LANEIGE has finally made its way into Canada. Their products uses advanced water science to achieve younger and more radiant skin. I've heard really good things about Laneige in general, but never got around to trying it so I was quite excited.

The Water Bank Gel Cream that I received in my Influenster VoxBox is the 3rd step in their 4-step routine to ultimate 24-hour hydration.
The order goes as follows
3. Water Bank Gel Cream

The cream claims to be "formulated with scientifically-engineered, skin-perfecting Hydro Ionized Mineral Water that delivers nutrients, hydrates and transforms your skin". The ultra light weight cream has a silky texture and absorbs into the skin quite easily without leaving any sticky residue. I've used it just under a week (day and night) and I do find that my skin looks and feels more hydrated. The cream retails at Sephora for $42 and their entire line is available in stores beginning September 25th. Since I've seen such positive results with the Water Bank Gel Cream, I'll most likely give the other items a try as well.
